Serving the people of Saratoga Springs is Skip's life's work. He worked as the animal control officer, served as a County Supervisor, and now has successfully
led DPW for 14 years.
Skip has invested over $14 million into the City's water system, directed upgrades to the sanitary sewer system, and utilized CHIPs funding to pave
miles of City roads.
Integrating GPS technology into the DPW fleet ensures the effective delivery of services to the public including leaf pickup, snow removal, and road repairs.
DPW crews built the Waterfront Park and portions of the Railroad Run Trail, plus they maintain the City's parks and trails system. Skip also created the
City Arborist position to maintain
our urban forest.
Skip has proven that he can do more with less. DPW operates under budget year after year while still delivering first class services to city residents. This helps keep taxes low in Saratoga Springs.
Keep proven, trusted leadership at the helm of the Department of Public Works. Skip Scirocco is building for the future of Saratoga Springs to ensure it continues to be the best city to live, work, visit, and raise a family.
